It’s been 15 years since Greenline launched their first hybrid yacht, and yet, we haven’t encountered a solid competitor. As a dealer and warranty center in Canada, we’ve never faced a single significant issue, affirming that the durability of the technology is proven by time, customer satisfaction, and dealer feedback.
The Greenline 45 Fly stands out as a remarkably clever and versatile flybridge cruiser within its category. It offers a range of options, including hybrid, all-electric or traditional shaft drive with various lower deck layouts that provide a level of customization typically associated with higher-priced vessels.
In 2023 all new Greenlines come with a new 6G hybrid generation which is more efficient, more powerful, lighter and simpler itself. The system has a multi-connection clutch, that allows the drive to be connected to any engine. For example, you can run an engine diesel, another engine electric and you will get 50% economy and double your range.
Greenline Yachts aim is to provide comfort on board like no other. With a bank of solar panels you can use all of the boat’s appliances, whether cruising or at rest, without having to fire up a generator or connect to shore power. This means there is no noise, no vibrations, no emissions and no disturbing your neighbours when the boat is on anchor. By utilising LiPo batteries, even high load appliances like air-conditioning can be run in silence.
In this configuration, the yacht combines 370hp Yanmar diesels with 14kW motors and a 40 or 80kWh battery bank. This combination allows for an impressive top speed of 7 knots in electric mode, covering 30nm at 5 knots. Activating the diesel engines propels the vessel to a maximum speed of 25 knots.
The standard onboard layout features two spacious ensuite cabins with walk-in wardrobes. However, there’s flexibility to replace them with a third cabin, offering a choice of a single berth, twin bunks, or a small double.
